Abstract

Objective To investigate the application contains leukotriene antagonists in the treatment of children with mild to moderate bronchiolitis, different glucocorticoids combination of different programmes and the effect of Glucocorticoids. Methods 255 cases accord with the study standards and complete observation of children with mild to moderate bronchiolitis were random divided into Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ and Ⅴ Groups. On the basis of conventional therapy, all the five groups plus leukotriene antagonist(montelukast),Group Ⅰ is the control group (without any glucocorticoid);Group Ⅱ plus dexamethasone 0.3-0.5 mg·kg-1·d-1 intravenous injection;Group Ⅲ plus prednisone 1-2 mg·kg-1·d-1 divided into 3 times oraled;Group Ⅳ plus methylprednisolone 5-10 mg·kg-1·d-1 intravenous drip at 1 or 2 times for three days, three days later changed to oral prednisone;Group Ⅴ nebulized budesonide 1-2 mg/d divided into 2 times.Observation the wheezing disappeared days in all patients. Results The wheezing disappeared days about the five groups are (5.09±1.59) d,(7.49±1.89) d,(7.02±2.03) d,(7.31±1.94) d and (6.91±2.02) d,respectivly. The P value is 0.0000 between group Ⅰ and other groups;and between the group Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ、Ⅴ,the P0.05.Conclusions Compared with the treatment of different glucocorticoid programmes, the wheezing disappeared days is shorter in only use the leukotriene antagonist children. It is suggested that in the treatment of mild to moderate bronchiolitis,we can use the leukotriene antagonist without glucocorticoids.
