Acupuncture combined with dysphagia therapeutic equipment on dysphagic patients with cerebral infarction

Objective To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with dysphagia therapeutic equipm ent on dysphagic patients with cerebral infarction. Methods The 80 dysphagic patients with cerebral infarction were selected and randomly divided into acupuncture group and acupuncture combined with therapeutic equipment group( combination group),40 cases in each group. After one week or two weeks of treatment,watian water drinking experiment and dysphagia scale in the neurological function injury severity score of patients with cerebral infarction were used to evaluate the therapeutic effect. Results Scores of watian water drinking experiment were decreased in both the two groups( P 0. 01),and scores of the dysphagia level in the dysphagia scale were increased in both the two groups( P 0.01); comparing the score difference between the two groups after one and two weeks of treatment had significant difference( P 0. 05). The total effective rate of acupuncture group was 82. 5% and total effective rate of combination group was 97. 5%,comparing between the two groups,P 0. 05. Conclusion Acupuncture combined with dysphagia therapeutic equipment on 80 dysphagic patients with cerebral infarction can further recover the swallowing function with quick effect,short course of treatment and high cure rate.
