The study of the clinical effect of mild hypothermia therapy on severe head injury

Objective To study from the clinical angle the efect of mild hypothermia therapy in treatment of severe head injury.Methods 98 patients with severe head injury patients(GCS≤8 points) were randomly divided into the hypothermia treatment group and the normal temperature group,n=49 cases.Normothermia group received conventional therapy.Hypothermia group on the basis of conventional therapy after injury within 24 hours of mild hypothermia,rectal temperature at 32.5-34.5℃,2-3 days.Results Hypothermia treatment group mortality,severe disability rate lower than the normal temperature group,a good recovery rate of 41(83.6%),mortality rate 7(14.2%),compared with the conventional treatment group,the difference was significant significance P0.05).Conclusion Hypothermia treatment of severe traumatic brain injury is safe,effective,easy to implement methods of treatment improve the prognosis of patients with brain injury and the quality of life of patients with the role.
