Efficacy of hypothermia treatment on severe head injury

Abstract
Objective:To study the effect of mild hypothermia on patients with severe head injury.Methods:A total of 56 patients with severe head injury were randomly divided into experimental group(hypothermia group) and the control group.The experimental group was treated with mild hypothermia on the basis of routine treatment while the control group was treated with routine treatment.Results:The excellent recovery rate was 37.14%,which was higher than the control group,and the mortality rate(25.71%) was significantly lower than the control group(P0.05).Conclusions:Conventional treatment combined with mild hypothermia therapy can significantly improve the prognosis of patients.
