Abstract

Objective: To explore the effect of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis herbs on rats with chronic nonbacterial prostatitis. Methods: Male Wistar rats model of chronic nonbacterial prostatitis were established, and high, medium and low dose of Chinese herbs for activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis were used to intervention. After 4 weeks, the rats treated with Chinese herbs were sacrii ced. The indexes such as T-AOC and NO in prostate tissue and serum were determined. Results: Compared with the model group, the level of lymphocytes ini ltration and interstitial proliferation in high, medium dose of Chinese herbs intervention groups were decreased(P0.05), prostate tissue lesions extent were reduced in the high dose group(P0.05). Compared with the model group, the concentration of NO in sera was lower than high and medium does groups(P0.05), the concentration of NO in prostate tissue was lower in medium does group(P0.05). T-AOC in the prostate tissue increased signii cantly in treatment groups, it had statistical signii cances between high does groups and model group(P0.05). Conclusion: Activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis herbs have better effects in high, medium dose groups, it could reduce the prostatic inflammatory response and inl ammation during oxidative stress, which could protect the prostate tissue.
