Abstract
Objective To study the value of combined serum CA125,CA199 and CEA test in ovarian tumors diagnosis. Methods The fasting serum CA125,CA199 and CEA level of patients with ovarian tumors were measured by electrochemiluminescence before operation. Results For patients with ovarian malignant tumors, the mean CA125 and CA199 were(210±242.5)U/ml and(39.7±40.7)U/ml,the positive rate were 72.4% and 44.8%,respectively;which were significantly higher than those of patients with ovarian benign tumors(P0.01 and P0.05,respectively).The mean value and positive rate of CEA were also higher in patients with ovarian malignant tumors as compared with patients with ovarian benign tumors, but the difference was not significant. The sensitivity for diagnosis of ovarian malignant tumors by use of CA125 plus CA199 or CA125 plus CA199 plus CEA were both 89.7%,which were significantly higher than CA125 test alone(P0.05).Conclusion CA125 test plus CA199 test could improve the sensitivity for diagnosis of ovarian malignant tumors, but the addition of CEA test has no effect on the differentiation of malignant from benign ovarian tumors.
