On Thought of Unity of Parallel Prose and Free Prose in the Early Qing Dynasty

Under the background of the prevalence of parallel prose and free prose and increasingly intense mutual contradiction,thought of unity of parallel prose and free prose in the early Qing Dynasty had made greater strides than in the past. There were mainly three aspects. Firstly,the thought was to justify the rational existence of parallel prose. Secondly,parallel sentences and free sentences were used interchangeably in the essay creation. Thirdly,it governed parallel prose and free prose at a higher level,blurring their distinction in forms. Although it still showed that parallel prose clung to free prose,this thought was the theoretical support for the comprehensive renaissance of parallel prose in the period of Emperors Qianlong Jiaqing and also laid the foundation for the thought of unity of parallel prose and free prose in this period.
