Study on property of styrene acrylic emulsion

Abstract
Using styrene,butyl acrylate,methyl methacrylate and acrylic acid as the reaction monomers,ammonium persulfate as an initiator,sodium dodecyl sulfate and polyethylene glycol phenyl ether as the compound emulsifier to prepare styrene acrylic emulsion through emulsion polymerization craft system which adds by drops continuously.The results shows that the better emulsion can be prepared when the mass ratio of soft to hard monomers is 1∶1,the mass ratio of SDS to OP-10 is 1∶1,the mass of initiator is 0.3% of monomers.
