Abstract

Marx's critique of modernity does not go in a smooth and linear procedure;instead,it goes in a consecutive procedure of three theories which are closely related to social history and practice.First,it takes alienated labor as yardstick to make ethical critique on modernity;next,it takes labor division as foundation to make positive critique on modernity;and then,it takes capital as core to make essential critique on modernity.The three-dimensions of Marx 's critique of modernity are of great practical significance to today's critique on capitalism.
