Abstract
In the author's opinion,the economic growth in China relies on a well-coordinated combination of consumption,investment and exporting and one of measures is to boost consumption rate of Chinese residents.The consumption rate is kept low in China for a long time.The main causes for it are slow increasing of residents' income,bigger income gap between the rich and the poor,continuous decreasing of expected future income,traditional view on consumption and others.In order to increase the consumption rate,we must take measures to enhance residents' income,better social security system and update consumption concept.
