The mass transfer area of New VST is in tray space Liquid holdup in tray space has important effect on the mass property By experiences,the efficient of New VST has a great descend trend with the increasing liquid holdup in tray space The factor effect liquid holdup in tray space is mainly clear liquid height above plate and gas velocity The liquid holdup increases with the growth of clear liquid height above plate or the decrease of gas velocity
