Evaluation research of China′s provincial tourism competitiveness based on performance indexes

Abstract
The evaluation index system of provincial tourism competitiveness based on 6 tourism performance indexes was set up.By using of comprehensive multi-index evaluation model,tourism competitiveness of 31 provinces are evaluated and analyzed.In the end,in order to promote the tourism competitiveness of Shaanxi province,a comparative analysis of the competitiveness in Shaanxi and other 6 provinces in western and central China was made.The results indicated that Shaanxi province has comparative advantages in international tourism,but has comparative disadvantages in domestic tourism,and there was a downward tendency in tourism competitiveness of Shaanxi province.
