Calculation and Analysis on Ecological Footprint of Shandong Province in 2004

Based on the statistical data of Shandong Province,the ecological footprint was calculated in this paper.The result showed that the per capita ecological footprint was 1.969 8 hm2,per capita ecological footprint was 0.507 5 hm2,and ecological surplus of deficit was 1.462 3 hm2.The per capita ecological footprint was 0.131 0 hm2 higher but the per capita ecological capacity was 0.033 81 hm2 lower,and the ecological surplus of deficit was about 1.13 times of 2001 year.These results showed that the ecological footprint of Shandong Province was beyond the available ecological capacity,and its social and economic development was not sustainable.In order to defuse the serious relationship between the human and ecological environment and to promote the sustainable development of Shandong Province,some advice are put forward here.
