Abstract
In the period of Ming Dynasty, there are some countries in Central Asia area, such as Herat and Samarkand. Implementing a policy of “Creating an amicable neighborhood through morality”, Ming Dynasty actively developed diplomatic relations with countries of central Asia. And Ming dynasty always did its best to mediate conflicts between neighboring countries of the area. Therefore, understanding and trust had been established, and friendship had been strengthened. Economically, carrying out a principle of “More giving and less accepting”, Ming Dynasty and Central Asian countries exchanged goods with each other for what one did not have. So the development of official trade and encouragement to merchants' business activities not only enlarged cultural communication between China and these countries, but also heightened Ming Dynasty's influence in the area.
