Clinical Characteristics of 324 Cases Involving Senility Ulcer

Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of senility ulcer.Methods The symptom,complication and medical method were analyzed retrospectively in 324 patients with gastroduodenal ulcer,who were over 60 in our hospital from 1991 to 2004.Results Among 324 patients,114(35%)had stomachache symptom,210(65%)had atypical symptom or had no symptom.The main complication was hemorrhage(128,39%).264 were treated by operation,60 cases were treated by medical conservative method.320 cases were cured,4 cases were dead.Conclusion Most clinical symptoms of senility ulcer are not typical,they are easily combined with ulcer hemorrhage.When the operation was determined,the age is not restricted,especially for patients with complication,the operation was the first choice.
