Abstract
[Purpose]To investigate safty and influencing factors on sentinel lymph node(SLN)detection with methylene blue in cervical cancer.[Methods] Between Jan.2004 and Jan.2005,29 patients with cervical cancer stage Ⅰb toⅡb underwent SLN detection with methylene blue.The accuray and false-negative rate of SLN predicting pelvic lymph node metastasis were evaluated based on post-operative pathology.[Results] A total of 41 SLNs were identified successfully in 23 of 29(79.31%)patients.The positive rate of SLNs detection in cases with and without preoperative chemotherapy was 79.17% and 80.00% respectively.SLNs were most commonly found in obturator fossa.[Conclusion] SLNs detection for cervical cancer with methylene blue dyeing was safe and the most common site was obturator fossa.
