Abstract

Objective:To study the relationship between MRI features and pathological types.Materials and Methods:MRI features of 28cases with meningiomas were compared with their pathological findings. Results:Sixteen cases had their integral capsules.Peritumor edema was found in24cases.Duraltailsign was present in24cases.Twenty cases appeared homogeneous enhancement.Psammoma-bodies in the tumors were found in20cases.Vascular flow void features in the tumor was seen in20cases.Conclusion:There is no correlative relationship between only one certain sign of MRI and the patho-logic classification. However combination of several MRI features could be used to figure out the pathologic type of menin-gioma by a comprehensive analysis.
