Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of nursing intervention on cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Methods 86 patients with cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage who were admitted to our hospital during the recent two years were randomly allocated to an observation group and a reference group, with 43 in each group. The observation group received comprehensive nursing measures during the treatment, such as medication nursing, mental nursing and dietary intervention. The reference group received a regular nursing intervention. Hemostasis time, average hospitalization time, relapse rate of bleeding, and incidence of complications during hospitalization were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results The differences of hemostasis time and average hospitalization time between the two groups were statistically significant(P 0.05); relapse rate of bleeding and incidence of complications during hospitalization were significantly lower than those in the reference group(P 0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention for patients with cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage helps shorten bleeding time and hospitalization time, prevent complications, and promote patients' recovery.
