Abstract
Epoxy-acrylate emulsion was prepared by emulsion copolymerization with methacrylate as a hard monomer, butyl acrylate and 2-ethyl hexyl acrylate as soft monomers, acrylic acid and β-hydroxyethyl methacrylate as functional monomers. Factors affecting the copolymerized emulsion and the film performance, such as composition and amount of emulsifier, amount of initiator, copolymerization temperature, amount and epoxy value of epoxy resin and ratio of the monomers, were studied. The appropriate reaction conditions and better formula were obtained.
