Abstract
Stable epoxy modified acrylate emulsion was synthesized by using the pre emulsion polymerization process and with L25(56) orthogonal experimental design method. The results show that optimum preparation conditions for epoxy modified acrylate emulsion are as follows:emulsifier is 4.5%,initiator is 0.6%,ratio of soft and hard monomer(mass ratio) is 50∶50,the epoxy resin is 10%,crosslinking agent is 2% and the temperature is 75 ℃.Infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) experiment result showed the success of the epoxy resin graft copolymerization onto acrylate molecules, which improved the physical and chemical properties of copolymer resin.
