Abstract

Objective To observe the affection of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on estrogen and progesterone receptor expression in breast cancer patients and its clinical significance. Methods From October 2009 to October 2011,the expression of ER and PR were detected by immunohistochemical methods in 128 cases with breast cancer patients. Results In 128 cases with breast cancer,14 were CR,accounting for 10.9%,87 were PR,accounting for 68.0%,17 were SD,accounting for 13.3%,10 were CR,accounting for 7.8%.The rate of CR+PR in negative group was significantly higher than that in positive(P0.05).After treatment, the positive rate of ER and PR in CR+PR group was significantly decreased(P0.05),while no significant difference in SD+PD group(P0.05).The positive rates of ER and PR in CR+PR group before and after treatment were significantly lower than those in SD+PD group(P0.05).Conclusion The breast cancer patients with negative expression of ER and PR are more sensitive to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and the neoadjuvant chemotherapy also can change the expression status of ER and PR.
