Current Situation of Component Blood Transfusion in Ethnic Minority Regions Hospital

Objective To review and analyse the current situation of component blood transfusion in Xishuangbanna state after component blood transfusion had been spreaded in ethnic minority regions since 2006.Methods We surveyed the amount of the whole blood and component blood transfusion,and calculated the transfusion rates of the various components in three hospitals of Xishuangbanna from 2006 to 2008.Results Since 2006,the rate of component blood rtansfusion had been greatly improved and now reached about 98%,the main component was suspensive red blood cell.Conclusion By carrying out the work of popularization and application of component blood transfusion,the component blood transfusion rate has reached about 98%,but the transfusion rate of cold precipitation and other special ingredients is low,it should be further strengthened to improve the rate of component blood transfusion.
