Color Doppler ultrasonography in perioperative orthotopic liver transplantation

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the value of Color Doppler ultrasonography in orthotopic liver transplantation. Methods 9 cases with orthotopic liver transplantation were examined by using CDFI to observe chang of ultrasonography of hepatic parenchyma and hepatic blood flow. The parameters, SPV, EDV, RI, PI and FVI of the hepatic artery were analysed by using PW. Results 3 cases (33 %) suffered from liver allograft rejection. There were 2 cases (22%) with following liver hematoma. The visuality rate of the hepatic artery on transabdominal CDFI was 89 %. 3 cases (33%) were applied automatic puncture biopsy in liver under ultrasound-guided. Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasonography is valuable for monitoring normal liver transplantation and its complication. Ultrasusond-guided automatic biopsy is helpful for diagnosis and therapy.
