On Cultivating Innovative Ability of Engineering Students by Means of Scientific and Technical Competition

Abstract
Creative and practical ability is the core of cultivating innovative talents among the engineering students,and encouraging them to participate in scientific and technical competition is one of the most useful way to improve their creative and practical ability.According to the problems existed in innovative abilities of the engineering students in our university,with the recent experiences of participating in scientific contests,this paper analyzes the necessity of scientific and technical competition in improving students' creative and practical abilities,proposes some effective measures to enhance creative spirit and improve creative ability training style by means of scientific and technical competition.
