The Efficacy and Safety of Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder in the Treatment of Climacteric Syndrome

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder in the treatment of climacteric syndrome.Methods According to the diagnostic standard of Kupperman score and the diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,192patients of climacteric syndrome were selected.Patients were treated by the addition and subtraction of Danzhi Xiaoyao Power for 3courses,then subjected to clinical research and analysis of curative effects before and after the treatments.Results The cases of significant efficacy,effective cases,and invalid cases were 101,75,16.The rates of the markedly effective,effective,ineffective were 52.6%, 39.1%,8.3% and the total effective rate in the patients after the treatment was 91.7%.The incidence rate of menstrual cycle disorder,vascular contraction syndrome,mental-neurological symptoms,genital changes,the cardiovascular changes of symptoms after the treatment(5.2%,7.8%,6.8%,4.7%,5.7%)were decreased significantly from the rate before the treatment(83.3%,73.4%,70.3%,32.8%,26.6%)(P0.05).The average integral score of Kupperman score after the treatment(5.5 ± 2.9)was significantly lower than the score before the treatment(28.3±7.7).Conclusion Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder in the treatment of climacteric syndrome has significantly clinical curative effects.
