Abstract
Objective To understand the new standard before and after implementation of Guangdong Province iodized salt in Huizhou City,prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders measures,Provide guidance and theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment work in the future. Methods According to therequirementsnational iodine deficiency disease monitoring program,from 2009 to 2012 in Huizhou city Huicheng District,Huiyang District,Boluo County,Huidong county and Longmen County in five counties of acquisition home residents iodized salt,drinking water,and urine sample of children aged 8~10 years old in the area in the primary school. Results Before and after the implementation of the new standard of iodized salt iodine,urinary iodine content are in line with the national standard of eliminating IDD. Conclusions To further improve the scientific iodine in Huizhou area,sustainable elimination of iodine deficiency disease.
