A comparative study of paroxetine combining with quetiapine in the treatment of depression

Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of paroxetine combining with quetiapine in the treatment of depressive disorder. Methods A total of 50 patients with depression were randomly treated with paroxetine only or paroxetine combining with quetiapine.The efficacy was measured with HAMD and CGI scale.Results There were significant differences between two groups in the reducing rates of HAMD and CGI. Conclusion It is suggested that paroxetine combining with quetiapine could have better efficacy than paroxetione only in the treatment of depression.
