Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of valsartan to expression of p27.Methods The rats were divided into two groups:normal group and diabetes group.The latter were were made into diabetes rat models by injecting streptozotocin-induced(STZ) into their abdominal cavities at a time,and were grouped by the therapy methods into valsartan treatment group and non-treatment group.When the diabetic models had been induced,valsartan group were treated with valsartan,and the normal group,none-treatment diabetes group had a lavage with the same volume of drinking water.After eight weeks,the rats were observed to detect plasma glucose,renal relative weight,BUN,24 h total urine proteins,24 h urine albumin protein and the expression of p27 in kidney.Results Compared with the DMN group,valsartan reduced renal relative weight,BUN,24 h urine total proteins,24 h urine albumin protein and p27.The expression of p27 was significantly positively related to 24 h urine albumin protein.Conclusion Valsartan can reduce urinary protein excretion and protect renal function,which has some connection with reduction of the expression of p27.
