Abstract
Objective:To investigate the expression of PC-1,the new gene of tumor protein D52 family,during cell cycle. Methods:Two prostate carcinoma cell lines LNCaP and C4-2B were treated by 1 mmol / L hydroxyurea for 40 h and synchronized to G1/ S phase. Cells were harvested at different time points from 0 to 16 hours after hydroxyurea remov-ing for flow cytometry analysis and Western blot. Results:Results of flow cytometry analysis and Western blot showed that in both LNCaP and C4-2B cell lines the expression of PC-1 gene was increased in G2/ M phase. Conclusion:The ex-pression of PC-1 gene is related with G2/ M phase in cell cycle,suggesting that PC-1 may play a role in G2/ M phase.
