Abstract
Objective: To investigate the expression of PC-1 gene during cell cycle of prostate carcinoma cell lines. Methods: Two prostate carcinoma cell lines LNCaP and C4-2 were treated with 200 ng/mL nocodazole for 16h and entered into G2/M phase.Cells were harvested at different time points from 0 to 24 hours for flow cytometry analysis and Western blot. Results: Analysis of flow cytometry and Western blot showed that in both LNCaP and C4-2cell lines the expression of PC-1 was increased in G2/M phase. Conclusion: The expression of PC-1 is related with G2/M cell cycle, suggesting that PC-1 may play a role in cell cycle.
