Variation and Clinical Significance of CD4~+ CD25~+ RegulatoryT Cells in Peripheral Blood of Patients with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Abstract

Objective To observe the post-operative variation of immune function in patients with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer and to investigate the significance of diagnosisand the rapeutic effect evaluation by detecting the CD4+CD25+Regulatory T Cells level in the peripheral blood of patients with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer.Methods 189 patients with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer were recruited between2009 and 2012,The level of CD4+CD25+RegulatoryT Cells in the peripheral blood of these patients was detected by flow cytometry before and after operation and compared with that in control group.ResultsThe level of CD4+CD25+Regulatory T Cellsin patients with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer was higher than in control group,while the post-operative level of CD4+CD25+Regulatory T Cells was significantly lower.Conclusions The level of CD4+CD25+Treg in the peripheral blood of patients with lung cancer is significantly higher than in control group.The level of CD4+CD25+Treg is the highest in the stage III and IVpatients.The level of CD4+CD25+Treg is significantly down-regulated after surgery,while the immune function of lung cancer patients is obviously resumed and the immune response to tumor is enhanced.
