Abstract
Based on AutoCAD 2000, a method of calculating the volume and its variety of the gear-on-gear pump is given. The volume is calculated by means of some basic commands of AutoCAD 2000 and its secondary developing tool AutoLISP. The results are satisfactory. This laid the foundations of using the computer to design and optimize the structures of pumps.
