Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the effect of sanxuemingmu(散血明目)tablet on connective tissue growth factor(CTGF)in experimental traumatic proliferative vitreoretinopathy(PVR).METHODS Experimental PVR models were induced by posterior penetrating eye injury and platelet-rich plasma(PRP)was infused to the central vitreous cavity.The positive expression of CTGF in the proliferative membranes were examined by the immunohistochemical SABC.RESULTS Compared with normal control group and other control groups,the positive expression of CTGF was decreased in sanxuemingmu group( P0.05 ).CONCLUSIONS Sanxuemingmu tablet can decrease the positive expression of CTGF of the proliferative membranes from the vitreous,inhibit the development of PVR.
