The contradictions between productive forces and productive relations,economic base and superstructure are the development law of human history in a specific stage——economic society while the law of the contradiction between human production and material production exposed by the two production theories of historical materialism is the development law throughout human history.Historical materialism is not Marx's philosophical contribution.Actually,Marx applied his new philosophy to historical contribution,i.e.,the philosophy of social science,the theoretical position of which is equal to Engel's dialectics of nature,i.e.,philosophy of natural science.As the philosophical basis of historical materialism,practical materialism is Marx's new contribution to philosophy.
