Historical Materialism as Marx's Philosophical Discovery in Social Sciences——The 4th fragment on Marx's discovery

Historical materialism is Marx's contribution by applying his practical materialism to history i.e., to social sciences instead of his philosophical contribution as what traditional theories claimed. It can be proved by Engels' analysis of this discovery and his phenomenological restoring of Lenin and Stalin's interpretations of dialectic materialism and historical materialism. It can also be proved by the argument about what is historical materialism among the academic circle. The opposition is superficial because the two propositions are not at the same level. One is the expounding of historical materialism i.e., practical materialism; the other is about historical materialism in social sciences i.e., historical materialism. The basis and analysis are both rational for the concept of historical materialism.
