Development of Inter-cultural Communicative Competence From the Perspective of Pragmatic Competence

The author theoretically probes into the pragmatic competence and communicative competence,and explores the relevance between these two aspects,expounding and proving that pragmatic competence is the important component that constitutes communicative competence,hence clarifying that the possessing of pragmatic competence in English teaching contributes to learners' understanding the difference between the Sino-western cultures,making less pragmatic errors and avoiding communicative failures in the international communication.
