Translation Strategies of the Preamble of the Constitution of the PRC

Strategies adopted in translating the Constitution of the PRC,the fundamental law of the State,will guide and even determine the strategies to be adopted in translating other laws and regulations.The translation of the Preamble of the Constitution demands a skilled use of translation techniques in stating the history,defining the basic tasks of the State and claiming supreme legal authority of the Constitution.This article analyzes the translation techniques adopted in the translation of the Preamble,which may be applicable in the translation of other legal documents.
