Therapeutic effects of Fenqing Shencha Tablet and its effects on levels of TNF-α and PGE_2 in the rats for prostatitis caused by carrageenan

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the therapeutic efects of Fenqing Shencha Tablet on chronic abacterial prostatitis in rats and the possible anti-inlammatory and anti-nociceptive mechanisms.Methods: The modle was established by injecting carrageenan into the prostate in rats.After treatment,pharmacological investigation was carried out to explore the impact of Fenqing Shencha Tablet on the prostatitis of rats by pathologic changes,the number of white blood cell,the density of lecithin corpuscle,the levels of TNF-α and PGE 2.Results: Compared with the model group,Fenqing Shencha Tablet had signiicant efects of improving the prostate pathological changes,decreasing the number of white blood cell(P0.05),increasing the density of lecithin corpuscle in secretion,reducing the contents of TNF-α and PGE 2 in prostate tissue(P0.05).Conclusion: The mechanism of Fenqing Shencha Tablet on chronic abacterial prostatitis may relate to the reducing level of TNF-α,PGE 2,which relieved the activation efect of inlammatory mediator to suppress inlammation.
