Research on the Competitiveness of Commercial Banks in China

Abstract

Banking competence is the embodiment of comprehensive ability of banks. Since China wants to become an economic and financial power in the accelerated development of economic globalization and financial integration,it needs to improve the competitiveness of China's commercial banks rapidly. Therefore,the objective comparison and effective improvement of the competitiveness of Chinese commercial banks is of great significance for maintaining the healthy development of the financial sector.However,the previous studies tend to overlook the competitive advantages to integrate the urban and rural banking systems,resulting in the weak competitiveness of the city bank competition. This paper,therefore,with a comparative study on four city and four rural commercial banks based on the data of the beginning in 2014 within the framework of the competition theory,puts forward to establish a third-party intermediary business platform to improve our financial market system and to create a good legal environment.
