Abstract

[Objective] The purpose was to study the cutting technique of tender branch of Magnolia liliflora.[Method] The effects of concentrations of rooting reagents, cutting lengths and cutting medium on rooting ability were investigated.[Result] The rooting reagents, cutting lengths and cutting medium had obvious effect on rooting rate of Magnolia liliflora, but different concentrations of rooting reagents and NAA had no obvious effect on the rooting rate.[Conclusion] The best combination of factors was as follows:8-10 cm cutting fast treated by ABT1 with 1 000 mg/L and planted in the cutting medium of 1/2 vermiculite and 1/2 perlite.
