Study and Practice of Web Map Service Based on Web Service

Abstract

Interoperability and Integration are the hot spots of GIS;Web Service supports a new way to resolve the problem of sharing,interoperability and integration in GIS.This paper focuses on the study on Web Services technology used in GIS and designs a system based on the Web Service technique.Through this system,this paper concludes that Web Service is a good solution for GIS integration and interoperability.
