Abstract
Web GIS technology makes rapid development in a few years, its application extends many aspects of GIS application, and Web GIS is important part of GIS software. Pointing to some shortages of current Web GIS, the article discusses a popular map service component with standard communication interface and across different program languages and platforms, according to the distributed, operated and easily integrated features of Web Service, so GIS has good extensibilities.
