Venture Capital:A New Perspective on Energy Saving and Emission Reduction

In the last three decades,China has got a great achievement to keep high growth rate of development resulting from the policies of reformation and opening.China now becomes the 4th largest economy in the world.However,China's development is at the cost of resources consumption and environment destruction.The restriction of and environment will become the bottleneck of China.The 11th Five-year Plan requests that by the year of 2010,the consumption of unite GDP and the total emission of pollutants should be cut by 20% and 10% respectively compared with that in 2005.It is now not easy to reach this target.This article analyzes the factors for the difficulties of energy saving and emission reduction and suggests that the promotion of venture capital is the key to this task.This article also proposes some policy suggestions.
