Review of CPC's Democratic Struggle

During the Anti-Japanese War, taking resisting Japanese and saving the country as the base, CPC took seeking for democracy as her political guarantee for the victory of the war. Around the war, CPC concentrated its work on struggle for democratic rights and resisting Japanese; during the stalement of the war, CPC first realized thorough democracy in the bordering area of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia and other bases in the enemy rear areas in order to oppose dictatorship of the Guomintang reactionaries ; during the later stage of the war, CPC called on establishing peoples' governments and abolishing KMT's one- party dictatorship, which was warmly responded by Chinese people and various democratic parties, making necessary preparations for political democratization after the war.
