Early diagnostic value of D-dimer for deep vein thrombosis after fracture

Objective To investigate the early diagnostic value of D-dimer assay for deep vein thrombosis(DVT) after fracture.Methods Quantitively detect D-dimer in 160 patients with fracture during the phases preoperative,3 days postoperative,7 days postoperative by immunity-turbidity method,and follow up the patients' conditions.Results Twenty patients occured deep vein thrombosis.The different levels of D-dimer during the phases preoperative,3 days postoperative and 7 days postoperative in DVT group was significant(P0.05).The different levels of D-dimer during the phases preoperative,3 days postoperative and 7 days postoperative in one DVT group was not significant(P0.05).The different level of D-dimer between the two groups: preoperative was not significant(P0.05),3 days postoperative and 7 days postoperative was significant(P0.05).Conclusion Dynamic deter mination of D-dimer has early diagnostic value for fracture complicated with DVT.
