Abstract
Objective To explore the MRI appearances of hysteromyoma before and after uterine arterial embolization(UAE).Methods 87 cases of hysteromyoma were treated by UAE.MRI was performed 3 to 14 days before and 3 to 6 months after embolization. The changes of number、location、volume、signal intensity and blood supply of myoma and signal changes of myometrium were observed. Results The mean reduction in volume of post-UAE myoma was 64.3%,175 myoma showed the signal on T_2WI reduction and no enhanced on T_1WI,4 myoma disappeared. Conclusion MRI can evaluate the volume changes, necrosis and the blood supply of the post-UAE myoma, and guide the clinical treatment and decide the response of treatment.
