Abstract

Based on referring to the government standard and industry standards, the detection method of carbendazim in fruits and vegetables was explored by using HPLC. Fruits and vegetables samples were extracted with ethyl acetate, centrifuged and cleaned up with mixed-mode SPE,and carbendazim residues were determined by HPLC with DAD,using external standard method. The method was accurate and simple after investigating the conditions of pretreatment and determination. Under the optimal conditions, the detection limit of pesticide by the method( S/N = 10)was under 0. 01 mg/kg. Calibration curves of pesticide were linear between 0. 025 mg/L and 0. 50 mg/L,with correlation coefficients of more than 0. 999. Recoveries of the pesticide were in the range of 85. 6% ~ 96. 2% with relative standard deviations of no more than 4. 0% in a spiked concentration range of 0. 01 ~ 0. 10 mg/kg. The detection limit of the method was lower. The method can meet the requirements of the determination of carbendazim in fruits and vegetables.
