Abstract

The Outstretching-Transcending Paradox of Confucianism came out as a result of a series of assessments home and abroad.Confucianism is not a religion,but characterized by its unique transcendence.Discussions on the transcendent quality of Confucianism by sinologists like Roger T.Ames,reflect the complex logic of discourses and the characteristics of western academics. The transcendent quality of Confucianism can be summarized as:ideal,interior,worldly,practical,ritual,sensible,and artistic.
