Academic management: the Core of University Management

Academic management has been the center of the university management at the beginning of it's formation and it has been influencing by many factors in the course of social development. Up to the present, in China, as a result of long-term planned management, the low-level management theory , the qualities and situations of the policy-makers, university academic management is not full of optimism for the future although valuable experience has been acquired from the management practice of Beijing University and Tsinghua University. Through recalling the history of university academic management it is shown that university management will more and more manifest academic features and academic management will be the core of university management.
