A Fractal Study on the Urban System of Xinyu in Jiangxi Province

Urban system planning is an important part in Chinese urban planning system.Compared with traditional planning methods,some modern mathematical theories and methods are more exactly and effective in aiding urban planning design.Based on the fractal theory,this paper analyzes the scale structure and spatial structure of the Xinyu urban system and calculates the fractal dimension of the urban scale structure,the aggregation dimension and correlation dimension of the spatial structure.Then,according to the result of the analysis,some suggestions on the Xinyu urban system planning are put forward.
